General

General

Chapman Associates are now able to offer an Audio Delay Line capable of continuously delaying speech signals fed into it by a period of 44 seconds.

Applications

Applications

For the monitoring of radio, telephone or other speech signals where activity may occur unexpectedly. If an operator listens to the signals coming from the original source and going into the delay line, when sudden activity is noticed the delay will provide sufficient time to alert other people or start a tape recorder to record the signal which will emerge from the Audio Delay Line 44 seconds later, without missing any of the message.

Since audio signals pass through the Delay Unit continuously, any other signals that immediately preceded the message of interest will also be heard providing that monitoring has commenced within the 44 second delay period.
