MINDA - The Miniature Duress Alarm system

How it all began...
In 1995, the personal bodyguard to the Chief Executive of a large company in England found that he had a problem: he had no means of keeping a simple check on his boss when he was not in close attendance, for example on those occasions when they were in separate offices, or in hotel rooms around the world. His boss, likewise, had a problem in that he could not covertly call for his bodyguards help in time of need or, more mundanely, request a pre-arranged course of action, such as asking for his car to be brought from the garage.Since there was nothing suitable on the market, the bodyguard got in touch with Chapman Associates, a company specialising in electronic design. After hearing more about his requirement, they rose to the challenge and produced an elegant answer to the problem by building a prototype radio signalling system.
The result is that the original bodyguard and his principal have now had their problem solved: they can now covertly signal one to the other using a pre-arranged code. This prototype was the forerunner of what is now known as the MINDA (MINiature Duress Alarm) system, manufactured and marketed by K-Tech (UK) Ltd.
MINDA systems have now been sold to many Police and security agencies in the U.K. and around the world. It is small, secure and very user-friendly, and meets the needs of numerous police and security officers, whose personal safety has been greatly increased as a result.
